Hello Design Community! I’m Andrea White, with Sierra Pacific Windows, and I’m excited to share this news with you. I work with our team of more than 20 Architectural Consultants, here to help bring our expertise in windows and doors to you, with a goal of saving you time and energy. I started with Sierra Pacific almost 16 years ago, as an Architectural Consultant, and then wore a couple of different hats (that phrase would work better for me if it was shoes instead of hats 😊) before landing in my current role as Director of Architectural Sales. That was almost five years ago, and yes, time does fly when you’re having fun! Even this year, we’ve managed to smile behind our masks, laugh on our webcams, and virtually collaborate, to keep our team positive and optimistic while we embrace the current state of our business model. You see, we are a group of people that thrive on in-person visits, dynamic presentations, and hearing first hand from you what is happening in your professional world. And with the relationships our team has built with so many of you, frankly, we miss you!
During one of those collaborative brainstorming sessions, we came up with such a long list of things we want to share with you, we decided to start a blog. You see, our group of Architectural Consultants has many years of experience in the construction industry, a couple of them even happen to be architects, and you will find all of them to be very passionate about their work and the company we work for. I wonder (combined) how many sets of plans they’ve seen, I bet it’s in the tens of thousands. I would hold this group of fenestration experts next to any other and challenge you to ask a question we couldn’t answer. But, we’re not writing a blog to show off our vast experience and technical knowledge (not to say we won’t include some now and then) but we want to keep you informed on the positive, good for the soul, creative things our company does, and share with you the joy it brings us.
Our team of Architectural Consultants are going to write the blogs solo, in pairs, and in small groups, to bring you fresh, interesting, and worthy of the read content. One month might feature a portfolio of projects with a common theme, the next could be some valuable insight on how to choose the right glazing, and another might share why we are all so proud to work for such a sustainable, environmentally friendly forest products company. Many of you have already heard the unique and heart-warming story about our parent company, Sierra Pacific Industries. Don’t you worry, we can always find new and interesting things to share about forestry, our land management practices, and that beautiful building material we love: WOOD. We promise to keep our blog a quick read, full of fun things to look at, and always with the goal of adding some positive energy to your day.
While we plan to have a variety of topics, some light & fun and others educational, many will highlight your gorgeous, well-designed projects for all to see. The blog will continue to live on our website, where you’ll be able to find more specific project and product information – we so often get asked, “what color is that” or “which product line are those windows from” and our favorite response is when you ask “how can I share my projects with you”?! We want to make it easy for you… just open the email, take a quick five to read something fun, and when you’re intrigued enough to find out more, click over to the website for more details.
Now that you know what to expect, watch for our next blog post later this month. With fall in the air… my favorite season, full of beautiful colors, yummy smells, and keeping warm inside behind those thermally insulated wood windows framing beautiful views of the trees.
